Private: Primary Election Results are in!

August 6, 2008 | Announcements, Positions, Voter Information

The Secretary of State’s very cool election results web site shows that nearly every vote in the August 5th 2008 Primary Election has been reported, and counted.

Personal notes:

To the 1,718 persons who selected a Libertarian Party ballot and indicated their trust in my run for Governor, THANK YOU.  I’ve had several people contact me via facebook to tell me of their decision.

To the 53,600+ people who voted in the Democratic Party Primary, and the nearly 200,000 people who voted in the Republican Party Primary for candidates — whose candidate did not win, I encourage you to vote for me this November. It is my promise to do what is right, and best, for the State and all of you, its citizens.

Instead of choosing between the lesser of two evils, Go for Excellence!  Vote for Andy in ‘08.

  2. I originally voted for Steelman, because of her more liberty minded positions and fiscal positions. I am not sure if she is going to continue to stand for those things as I watch her cozy up a little with Hulshof. Having seen how close of a race that was, I think that people are waking up and realizing they have to be actively involved if they want to maintain liberty. So, I was going to vote for Thompson until I heard the debates. I do not like the idea of religion being pushed through government, because I don’t trust that those that are pushing it are going to choose a style of it that I want personally, and so, you said the things that I believe need to happen about 98% I hope that those in the LP will actually go out and knock on doors this year. I hope that they will get on blogs and talk to everyone around them about liberty and the Constitution and you.
